»Wilhelm-Dopatka-Halle«

Built and completed in 1974, the Wilhelm-Dopatka-Halle is Germany's second largest sports hall after the Olympia-Halle in Munich. Forming part of an ensemble of high-profile sports venues like BayArena, Freizeitbad CaLevornia and the ice rink, it lies at the heart of the sporting city of Leverkusen.

The largest event hall in Leverkusen gained national popularity as an atmospheric venue when the basketball club TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen e.V. thrilled their spectators in the European and federal basketball league games. This has also been the case for numerous professional boxing events.

Unique in the region

With a capacity of 3,500, the Wilhelm-Dopatka-Halle is unique in the greater Cologne region. The near nostalgia evoked by the seventies architecture with fixed seating for over 1,600 in the upper tier provides the ideal background for a rich and varied programme of events.

Besides top sporting events, the Wilhelm-Dopatka-Halle is also suitable for musical performances from pop concerts to folk festivals. Covering 2,800 square metres, it is also the ideal venue for regional and national events like corporate parties, exhibitions, product shows, trade fairs, sales fairs and markets. Seating in the VIP lounge can be hired separately for up to one hundred people.
