»The Ophoven Nature Reserve«

The Ophoven Nature Reserve "Naturgut Ophoven" demonstrates that unspoiled nature is possible in the middle of a city. Covering an area of around 60,000 square metres, the naturally landscaped site forms part of a former manor with listed buildings.

Both children and adults feel drawn to the estate's concept of environmental education. In 2003, it was acknowledged as a best practical example for a sustainable North-Rhine Westphalia.

This 1,000 square metre exhibition deals with all aspects of nature conservation and environmental protection in a fun and interesting way.
