Points of interest
Leverkusen on the Rhine is a city with many facets. About 160 000 people live here, in both the metropolitan and the idyllic rural areas. Both of these - the village charm and the vibrant urban life - are often only a few kilometres apart, in some cases directly next to one other.
Leverkusen gained an international reputation as an industrialised city due to the company Bayer AG. And yet there is much more to it than that: a city with a many recreational opportunities, with green expanses and the romantic Rhine.
Halfway between the metropolises Cologne and Düsseldorf, Leverkusen has developed its own, quite special character over the course of its relatively short history.
We would like to invite you to get to know this side of Leverkusen a little better. Leverkusen has much to offer visitors - you will find a selection of sights, information and addresses on the following pages.
